Résumé The above-mentioned Ordinance contains provisions concerning the incineration of waste. Its aim is to prevent or to limit as far as practicable negative effects on the environment, in particular pollution by emissions into air, soil, surface water and groundwater, and the resulting risks to human health, from the incineration and co-incineration of waste. At the outset the Ordinance contains a definition clause relating to terms therein employed such as, for example, “mixed municipal waste”, “incineration plant”, “emission”, “emission limit value”. The text consists of 22 articles divided into 6 Parts as follows: General provisions (I); Operating conditions for incineration plants (II); Control and monitoring (III); Operating conditions for old incineration plants (IV); Common provisions (V); Final provisions (VI).
