It is a sectoral policy document at national level for the 13th Five-Year Plan period (2016-2020). The Plan sets up the main objectives: By 2020, ecological space will be secured, ecological quality will be improved, ecological functions will be enhanced, the rate of decline of biological diversity will be curbed, the level of unified supervision of ecological protection will be significantly improved, and national ecological security will be guaranteed.
