They were arrested with more than 332 ivory pieces in their possessionsThe prosecutor sued them for illegal trade of trophies of protected species and, in the light of the evidences; the court sentenced them to a three months imprisonment penalty and to pay a five millions CFA Francs fine.The importance of this case rely on the fact that it is the first Senegalese court decision which applies the prohibition of trade of protected species.
