Résumé
The applicants lived close to a nuclear power plant which had applied for an extension of its operating period and also an increase in production. The question before the Court was whether the risks of living close to a nuclear plant was enough for applying Art. 6(1). The Court found it not applicable since the outcome of the proceedings in issue was not directly decisive for the right asserted by the applicants. The applicants could not show that they were exposed to a specific, imminent and serious danger.
