Convention on Fishing and Conservation of the Living Resources in the Baltic Sea and the Belts Tipo de documento Multilateral Campo de aplicación Regional/restringido Fecha Sep 13, 1973 Fuente IUCN (ID: TRE-000535) Título (Francés) Convention sur la pêche et la conservation des ressources vivantes dans la mer Baltique et les Belts Título (Otro) Konvention über die Fischerei und den Schutz der lebenden Ressourcen in der Ostsee und den Belten Lugar de adopción Gdansk Depositario Polonia Idioma Danés, Inglés, Finés, Alemán, Polaco, Ruso, Sueco Entrada en vigor Jul 28, 1974 Materia Pesca Cuenca Baltic Sea Resumen Objective: To achieve greater and closer cooperation between the Parties in order to maintain the maximum stable productivity of the living resources of the region. Summary or provisions: Parties undertake to cooperate to achieve optimum yield from the living resources, particularly in the field of research, including programmes for the artificial reproduction of valuable fish species (art. 1). Institutional mechanism: An International Baltic Sea Fishery Commission is established (art. 5). It is to keep under review the living resources and fisheries of the region by collecting, analysing and disseminating data, to draft proposals to co-ordinate scientific research, and to submit recommendations to the Parties based on scientific research (art. 9). Such recommendations are to concern regulation of fishing gear, size limits of fish, closed seasons or areas, improving and increasing marine resources, total allowable catch and any other measure related to the conservation of these resources (art. 10). (Source: IUCN ELC, 08.2005, based on UNEP Register of International Treaties and Other Agreements in the Field of the Environment, 1996) Comentario This Convention applies only to the Baltic Sea and the Belts, but it covers all fish species encountered there, some of which are migratory. The Convention obliges the Baltic States to cooperate closely with one another with a view to preserving and increasing living resources so as to obtain an optimum yield. The States are also required to prepare and implement projects for the achievement of conservation and growth of living resources (including the artificial breeding of 'valuable' fish species). The Convention establishes the International Baltic Sea Fishery Commission. The Commissions duties include the review of fisheries and living resources by means of the collection, analysis and dissemination of ' statistical data', e.g. catch data, fishing efforts and other information which States Parties must provide to it; the proposal of programmes of scientific research and their coordination; and the production of recommendations as to the measures to be taken as to, e.g. fishing gear, limits on the size of fish to be taken, open and closed seasons, closed areas for fishing, improving or increasing living resources, and 'any other matter related to the conservation and rational exploitation of living marine resources' Texto completo Inglés Francés Español Página web www.jus.uio.no País/Territorio/Participante Vista ampliada Mostrar el mapa Países Entrada en vigor Ratification * Fecha de firma simple Retiro Alemania Oct 9, 1977 Mar 20, 1974 [1] Sep 13, 1973 Mar 18, 1984 Dinamarca Jul 28, 1974 May 6, 1974 [1] Sep 13, 1973 Mar 18, 1984 Estonia Ago 23, 1992 Jul 24, 1992 [1] - Dic 31, 2005 Federación de Russia Ene 13, 1992 - - - Finlandia Jul 28, 1974 Jul 1, 1974 [1] Sep 13, 1973 Dic 31, 1996 Letonia Ago 22, 1992 Jul 23, 1992 [1] - Dic 31, 2005 Lituania Ago 8, 1992 Jul 9, 1992 [1] - Dic 31, 2005 Polonia Jul 28, 1974 Oct 25, 1973 [1] Sep 13, 1973 Dic 31, 2006 Suecia Jul 28, 1974 Apr 29, 1974 [1] Sep 13, 1973 Dic 31, 1996 Unión Europea Mar 18, 1984 Feb 17, 1984 [1] - Dic 31, 2005 * [1] Fecha de ratificación [2] Fecha de ascención aprobación [3] Fecha de aceptación [4] Fecha de sucesión [5] Consentimiento en obligarse [6] Fecha de firma definitiva reset zoom out zoom in Referencias - Tratados Enmendado porr Amendments to the Convention on Fishing and Conservation of the Living Resources in the Baltic Sea and the Belts Tratado | Multilateral | Warsaw | Nov 11, 1982 Palabra clave: Volumen admisible de captura, Talla, Institución, Uso sostenible, Zona marítima, Manejo y conservación pesquera, Zona de pesca prohibida, Aparejos de pesca/métodos de pesca, Recopilación de datos/informes, Temporadas Fuente: IUCN (ID: TRE-000767) Otras referencias Doctrina 1 documento relacionada con este tratado Ver la literatura Jurisprudencia 1 jurisprudencia relacionada con este tratado Ver la jurisprudencia
