Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Chile on cooperation in the sphere of research and peaceful use of outer space

Соглашение между Правительством РФ и Правительством Республики Чили о сотрудничестве в исследовании и использовании космического пространства в мирных целях

The present Agreement establishes the principles and organizational basis for the formation and development of the programs of cooperation in the study and use of the outer space and the utilization of space technique and technology for peaceful purposes (art. 1). The Parties shall cooperate in the following spheres: 1) scientific research of outer space; 2) distant zoning of the Earth from outer space; 3) environmental monitoring of the Earth with the use of space technology; 4) space geodesy and cartography (art. 2). The Parties shall cooperate in the following forms: 1) realization of joint programs and projects with the use of scientific potential; 2) joint experiments in the outer space; 3) exchange of information; 4) exchange of experts; 5) joint symposia and conferences (art. 3).
