Rather than a global regulatory apparatus, this initiative seeks ultimately to stabilise greenhouse concentrations by speeding the time benign energy becomes cheaper than conventional fossil fuels. Such a South-North partnership could take many forms. These might include a dramatic reorientation of industrialised country inventstment in energy R&D to focus more on renewables and energy efficienc, public- private collaboration to enhance near-competitive renewable technologies, and the use of multilateral and bilateral development funds to spur private investment in such initiatives in developing countries Otras referencias Tratado Convención Marco de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Cambio Climático Tratado | Multilateral | New York | Jun 22, 1992 Palabra clave: Recopilación de datos/informes, Organización internacional, Cambio climático, Transferencia de tecnología, Monitoreo, Capa de ozono, Inventarios, Educación, EIA, Solución de controversias, Emisiones, Participación pública, Investigación, Desarrollo sostenible, Equidad intergeneracional, Principio de cautela, Acceso-a-la-información Fuente: IUCN (ID: TRE-001147)
