Resumen This Plan, consisting of seven Chapters divided into 74 sections and done under the Water Act 2000, The following are the purposes of this plan: to define the availability of water in the plan area; to provide a framework for sustainably managing water and the taking of water; to identify priorities and mechanisms for dealing with future water requirements; to provide a framework for establishing water allocations; to provide a framework for reversing, where practicable, degradation in natural ecosystems; to regulate the taking of groundwater. Chap. 2 specifies the plan area and water to which the plans applies. Chap. 3 sets the outcomes for sustainable management of water. Chap. 4 is dedicated to performance indicators and Environmental flow objectives. Chap. 5 deals with strategies for achieving outcomes for both surface water and groundwater. Chap. 6 is dedicated to monitoring and reporting requirements. Chap. 7 regulates how implementing and amending this plan. The plan is completed by eleven Schedules: Plan area, catchment areas and node locations, Subcatchment areas, groundwater management areas, groundwater sub-areas, nodes, environmental flow objectives, Total volumes of strategic, general, Indigenous and high flow reserve unallocated water, Water licence to replace local government authority, Limitations on licences to take water for industrial or amenities purpose, Conditions for particular licences, Rates and pump sizes and dictionary.
