Specifically, it notes that the department of environmental conservation of New York, in consultation with the department of health, shall conduct a study of potential uses of greywater and reclaimed wastewater in New York state, and develop a strategy for promoting water reclamation projects. The commissioner of environmental conservation of New York, in consultation with the department of health, shall establish rules, regulations and standards for the reuse and disposal of reclaimed wastewater and/or greywater. The department of health shall advise the department on water quality and pathogens monitoring requirements. The Title further states that all persons utilizing reclaimed wastewater or greywater shall register such project with the department of environmental conservation.
