Resumen The purpose of the present Act is to regulate the sale of vegetables in the province of Alberta. The Act contains at the outset a definition clause relating to the terms employed therein, such as “grade”, “inspector”, “Minister”, “vegetable”. Section 4 establishes that the Minister shall appoint inspectors who may at any reasonable time in any place or premise inspect vegetable whenever they deem it necessary or advisable. An inspector may also detain any vegetables for the time necessary to complete their inspection, as the case may be, at the expense of the producer, packer or owner, and, furthermore, take samples of vegetables wherever or whenever the inspector considers it necessary.
