Resumen

These Regulations, made by the Minister responsible for commerce under section 43 of the Uganda National Bureau of Standards Act, require any commodity for which a compulsory standard specification has been declared to conform to that compulsory standard and to bear the distinctive mark specified in Schedule 2. An application for a distinctive mark shall be made to the National Standards Council in accordance with these Regulations. A person shall not apply a distinctive mark to any commodity except under a permit issued by or under the authority of the Council and unless the commodity complies with the relevant standard specification.
