The Law defines the following relevant terms: public sector authority; advertisement; trader; commercial guarantee; consumer; consumer contract; owner; code of conduct; legal guarantee; complaint; product. Part II and III apply to the unfair commercial practices of businesses towards consumers, and they are subject to the Union and National legislation concerning health and product safety issues. These Parts define when a trade practice is unfair and when is misleading and specify omissions, aggressive trade practices, criteria for misleading advertising, conditions for fair comparative advertising. Part IV concerns consumer rights in off-store and on-store contracts and also applies to contracts concerning supply of water and energy sources. Matters covered by this Part concerns: information obligation for contracts distance and other than distance or off-premise contracts; standard requirements for requirements; right of withdrawal; transfer of risk. Other Parts concern: price list, including: posting of signs during the retail sale of petroleum products; abusive clauses; duties and powers of the commissioned service; issuance of decrees; criminal offences; final provisions.
