It contains at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed such as, "swine fever", "affected animals", etc. Before the official ascertainment of the disease the person in charge of the animal holding place must isolate the animals. Special protective clothings has to be worn upon entering the premises. The outbreak of the disease is made public by the competent authority. Once the disease is ascertained in a certain place all pigs are to be destroyed under official supervision. The plants have to be disinfected and cleaned according to EU-guidelines. A radius of 10km must be declared protected zone around an infected area. Slaughterhouses within the area have to be surveyed closely. Finally, the Ordinance consists of 26 articles divided into 6 Parts. One Annex is enclosed.
