Entry into force notes

The present Regulations enter into force on 6 February 1991.

Resumen

The present Regulations were made under the Agri-Food Act (S.S. 1990-91, c. A-15.2) which was repealed by the Agri-Food Act, 2004. These Regulations continue in force under the Act of 2004. Section 3 of the above-mentioned Regulations establishes the Canola Development Plan. The purpose of the plan is to develop and implement production and development projects and programmes to improve and develop the market opportunities for canola. Section 6 establishes the Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission. The Commission may, inter alia: a) carry out educational, research and developmental programmes; b) require any or all persons engaged in the production or marketing of canola to register with the commission; c) set and collect charges for services rendered by the commission from any person; d) set and collect check-offs from any person. The text consists of 27 sections.
