Resumen

SanPiN 2.1.4.1074-01 "Drinking water. Hygienic requirements for the quality of water from centralized drinking water supply systems. Quality control. Hygienic requirements for ensuring the safety of hot water supply systems" establishes hygienic requirements for the quality of drinking water, as well as rules for controlling the quality of water produced and supplied by centralized potable water supply systems in residential areas. Sanitary rules are intended for individual entrepreneurs and legal entities whose activities are related to the design, construction, operation of water supply systems and provision of drinking water to the population, as well as for authorities and institutions engaged in state sanitary and epidemiological supervision. Sanitary rules shall be applied to water supplied by water supply systems and intended for consumption by the population for drinking and domestic purposes, for use in the processes of processing of food raw materials and production of food products, their storage and trade, as well as for the production of products requiring the use of water of drinking quality. Quality of supplied potable water supplied by water supply system must meet the requirements set forth by this SanPiN. Deviations from hygienic standards are permitted if the following conditions are met at the same time: (a) potable water supply to the population cannot be achieved by other means; (b) compliance with the maximum permissible deviations from hygienic standards agreed with the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance Center for a limited period of time; (c) maximum limitation of the duration of deviations; (d) absence of risks to public health during the period of deviations; (e) provision of information to the population about the application of deviations and terms of their validity, about the absence of risk to health, as well as recommendations on the use of potable water. Potable water must be epidemiologically and radiologically safe, be chemically harmless and have favorable organoleptic properties. The quality of potable water must comply with hygienic standards before it enters the distribution network, as well as at the water intake points of the external and internal water supply network.
