The public institution designed to facilitate rural energy service provision shall have a small core administrative capacity and shall rely on the technical and financial capacity of qualified private sector entities. The Act establishes the Rural Energy Board Rural Energy Agency and the defines responsibilities of the Minister, the Agency and the Board under this Act. The Agency shall be a body corporate and shall implement the Board's strategies and decisions. The Act also establishes a Rural Energy Fund for which management rules are set out in the Schedule.
