Fundamental tasks of the Department are, inter alia, to study and implement development strategies and policies, to promote new ways of exploiting the natural resources, to support farming by means of agricultural credit and utilization of international and domestic funds and to train staff and veterinarians. In order to achieve said tasks, the Decree establishes in Chapter II the rights of the Department and in Chapters III and IV, respectively, the organizational structure and the work system.
