The Environment Fund is an important instrument for implementing the country's environmental policy. This Resolution approves the Investment Directives for the Environment relating to the periods from: a) 2021-2024 for municipal projects; and b) 2021-2025 for programmes and projects of the Central Administration and those presented by companies and civil society organizations. For the period 2021-2024, municipal projects that fall under the Multi-Year Public Investment Plan in the following areas are eligible for financing from the Environment Fund: a) Integrated management of urban solid waste; b) Environmental awareness; c) Basic Sanitation; and d) Animal Health. For the period 2021-2025, projects submitted by the Central Administration that fall under the Multi-Year Public Investment Plan in the following areas are eligible for financing from the Environment Fund: a) Basic sanitation; b) Integrated management of waste and hazardous products; c) Prevention of different forms of environmental pollution and environmental degradation and restoration of ecosystems; d) Wildlife protection; e) Recovery of Degraded Forest Areas; f) Environmental awareness; g) Strategic and action planning in the field of the Environment; and h) Environmental statistics and information.
