Resumen The aim of this Resolution is to regulate the navigation in Bahrain in accordance with the International Convention of 1978. This Regulation is composed of 33 articles. Articles 1-3 deal with terms, entry into force and scope of this Regulation. Article 4 specifies the Competent Authority for the execution and implementation of this Regulation. Article 5 refers to obligations and responsibilities of navigation companies. Articles 6-9 pertain to the following matters: (a) adoption of certificates of captains and officers operating on ships and on land; (b) certificates for the minimum security limits for the persons operating on ships; (c) exemptions; and (d) investigations and inquiries. Article 10 refers to infractions and violations related to certificates and attestations. Articles 11 and 12 concern with guidance and safety training. Articles 13-19 relate to different certificates and attestations for safety and security. Article 20 defines the requirements and conditions for the obtainment of certificates and attestations from the State of Bahrain. Articles 23-25 provide for the following matters: (a) recognition of certificates and attestations; (b) use of alternative certificates and attestations; and (c) renewal of certificates and attestations. Articles 26-29 specify requirements and conditions for working on tankers and passenger ships. Article 31 deals with the control and inspection of ships.
