The Policy mission aims to improve the health conditions of all Mozambicans, through a system that recognizes, trains and brings together, in a coordinated manner, all the stakeholders, based on 6 principles: solidarity, ethics and professional deontology, respect diversity, humanization, professionalism and commitment. Its general objective aims at improving the conditions and ways of life of populations, reinforcing the implementation of measures aimed at improving individual and collective health and reducing vulnerabilities and health risks arising from social determinants of health. In particular, its specific objectives are: a) stimulate health promotion as part of comprehensive care in the National Health System; b) contribute to the adoption of social and health practices, centered on gender, equity and participation, respecting social differences; c) offer better services suited to all levels, ensuring their continuity; d) promote education and training, specific to health promotion, according with the principles expressed in this policy; e) carry out research, production and dissemination of knowledge and innovative strategies in the context of health promotion actions; f) contribute to the articulation of public policies with national and international health agendas.
