This Resolution enters into force 6 months after its publication in the Official Gazette.
Resumen

The aim of this Resolution is to regulate the supply and distribution of water. The present Resolution is composed of 14 Chapters divided into 83 articles. Chapter 1 deals with the following: terms and definitions; prevention of incompatible, illegal, damaged and used installations; maintenance of legal existing installations; and storage and provision needs. Chapter 2 defines measures and requirements for the protection of water against pollution. Chapter 3 provides for the protection of water against pollution caused by backflow. Chapter 4 refers to the following: prevention of pollution of stored waters; and requirements, places, supports, valves, and maximum levels of water of storage cisterns. Chapters 5 and 6 pertain to the prevention of wastewater caused by the damage of installations. Chapter 7 relates to interruption valves. Chapter 8 addresses toilets and water closets. Chapters 9 and 10 deal with the prevention of waste, pollution and misuse of water outgoing from taps, wash-tub, sinks, wash-basins and water-heaters. Chapter 11 addresses potable water taps. Chapter 12 specifies waterworks, which necessitate the notification of the Water Distribution Department. Chapter 13 contains consumption guides. Chapter 14 contains general provisions.
