This Resolution enters into force on the day of its publication

Resumen

This Resolution, consisting of five sections, provides for the National Air Pollution Control Programme (PRONAR). PRONAR is one of the basic instruments of environmental management for the protection of the health and well-being of the populations and the improvement of the quality of life with the objective of allowing the economic and social development of the Country by limiting the emission levels of pollutants from sources of air pollution, with a view to: a) improving air quality; b) complying with established standards; c) non-commitment to air quality in non degraded areas. The basic strategy of PRONAR is to limit emissions by source typology and priority pollutants at national level, keeping the use of air quality standards as a complementary control action.
