Resumen This Regulation creates the Competent Authority for Fisheries Products (ACOPESCA). This Regulation, consisting of 44 articles divided into Chapters, establishes that it operates under the oversight of the Government Member responsible for fisheries. ACOPESCA's main mission is to support the Government in this sector, in defining, implementing, monitoring and ensuring compliance with the rules on health, legality and quality of fishery products and activities. ACOPESCA is responsible for: a) ensure the promotion and compliance within the national territory of the health rules applicable to fishery products; b) propose standards and measures applicable to fishery products to the oversight and ensure their diffusion, when approved; c) collaborate in the proposal and definition of strategies, policies and plans regarding the hygienic quality standards of fishery products, making proposals, suggestions and, when requested, giving appropriate opinions; d) approve regulatory principles and establish technical standards for fishing activities and inspection of fish and fish products; e) carry out inspection and sanitary licensing of hygienic conditions and quality control systems for establishments, vessels and means of transport of fishery products and by-products; etc. Texto completo Portugués Página web www.legis-palop.org Referencias - Legislación Implementa Resolution No. 68/2014 creating the Competent Authority for Fisheries Product (ACOPESCA).
