Resumen The objective of this regulation is to define the procedures and principles regarding the establishment, management, inspection and permitted activities of wildlife preservation and development areas. Areas chosen for wildlife preservation should be large enough to accommodate large population of migrating animals. Areas that could be proclaimed as wildlife preservation areas are proposed by the regional directorate of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, accompanied by a survey report. Areas found appropriate by the General Directorate of Nature Preservation and National Parks are proclaimed as wildlife preservation area by the Ministry of Forestry for areas under the forestry regime, and by the Council of Ministers for all other areas. Wildlife preservation areas are managed by the regional directorate of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry, in accordance to management and development plans. These plans are prepared by the General Directorate of Nature Preservation and National Parks. Activities other than specified in the management plans are not allowed in those areas, and constructions of any kind that could damage the ecosystem and objectives of the areas are prohibited. Measures against any possible diseases in wildlife preservation areas are taken by the General Direcorate of Forestry and by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. Hunting is not allowed until the holding capacity of the area is exceeded. Gaming rules and timing are determined by the General Directorate of Nature Preservation and National Parks.
