An expert in the field of veterinary medicine, engaged in entrepreneurial activities providing veterinary services, must provide the consumer with information on the registration and name of the registration authority, the license for the right to provide this type of services (works), description thereof and other necessary information. The consumer shall have the right to: (a) conclude contracts with the contractor for provision of veterinary services; (b) receive from the contractor information about the state of the incidence of animal diseases in the epizootic situation and the results of special studies of animals, products and raw materials of animal origin; (c) purchase and sell, including abroad, animals, products and raw materials of animal origin, animal feedstuffs, feed additives, veterinary medicinal and technical means in accordance with veterinary and sanitary rules and regulations; (d) apply to the contractor for the provision of medical and preventive care to animals, as well as other types of veterinary services; (e) when purchasing animals (including birds, fur-bearing animals, fishes and bees), require the seller to obtain a veterinary certificate or a certificate of the prescribed type; and (f) appeal against unlawful actions and instructions of local authorities and the contractor.
