The Regulation also applies to the National Rapid Alert System. According to Article 6, the following control authorities shall integrate the National Rapid Alert System: 1. The Swedish National Food Agency; 2. The County Administrative Boards; 3. The Municipal Boards referred to in the Food Act (2006:894); and 4. The Armed Forces Inspector for Health and Environment (FIHM). If a control authority finds that a food entails a serious direct or indirect risk to human health, such information shall be notified via the National Rapid Alert System. Registration shall be made without undue delay, but no later than 48 hours from the identification of the risk by the control authority. A control authority that has submitted or received a notification in in the National Rapid Alert System shall report on its action taken regarding the food to which the notification relates.
