Resumen This Regulation of the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food, which is composed of 18 articles and four Annexes, sets out measures for the monitoring of residuals in food-producing animals and animal products in accordance with Council Directive 96/23/EC on measures to monitor certain substances and residues in live animals and animal products. Monitoring residues of the food-producing animals and animal products is carried out by the Veterinary Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for the purpose of detecting the presence of residuals in live animals, their excrements and body fluids and in tissue, animal products, animal feed and drinking water. Holders of animals, animal products and food who are under veterinary supervision must carry out checks to make sure that animals and animal products do not contain the residues.
