Resumen This Ministerial Regulation, consisting of 61 articles divided into 18 Chapters and six Annexes, regulates Marine Industrial Fishing. It applies to: a) Everyone who perform fishing activity and/or transports fish in the high seas; and b) Every fishing vessel or Indonesian-flagged fish carrier that perform fishing activity and/or transportation of fish in the high seas. The Regulation specifies types of industrial fishing activity in the high seas and includes: a) industrial fishing; and/or; b) fish transportation business. The high sea covers the area under the Regional Fisheries Management Organization (RFMO) within the Indian Ocean and Pacific Ocean. Industrial fisheries as referred to in paragraph (1) must be Indonesian-flagged fishing vessels with a size of over 30 gross tonnages (GT) or a total length (LOA) of at least 15 meters. Every person performing high seas fishing must have a related fishing authorization. These authorizations include: a) industrial fishing permit issued in the form of SIUP; b) fishing licenses issued in the form of SIPI; and c) licences of fish transport vessels issued in the form of SIKPI.
