In particular, the Agency operates as a specialized consulting body under the Minister of Energy on policies and strategies in this area. It promotes the use of renewable energy resources and proposes measures to increase the energy exploitation in the energy cycle. Moreover, the Agency is in charge of the elaboration and publication of the annual energetic balance according to the requirements prescribed by EUROSTAT and the International Energy Agency.
