Felling must ensure: (a) the continuous, sustainable and rational use of forest resources; (b) maximum conservation of the forest’s water soil protection functions; (c) prevention of soil erosion; (d) reforestation; and (e) improvement of forest health. Timber extraction in water conservation areas shall be conducted on a15-20 year cycle. Timber shall be transported via aerial ropeway and other aerial means.
