Resumen

The Regulation provides for the importation of wild animals (destined to zoological gardens) in presence of a valid import licence issued by the Authorities of Myanmar, and a Veterinary certification attesting that they are free from any infective or contagious disease at the time of exportation. Moreover their areas of provenience must have been disease-free in the last 12 months prior to the export and there is no clinical evidence of bovine, caprine, equine and avian diseases (Section 3). On arrival the birds and animal shall undergo quarantine for at least 14 days and, if deemed necessary, they shall be tested and eventually treated. The fees for tests and treatments shall be charged to the owners. Fee for quarantine and Health Certificate shall amount, respectively, to 250 kyats per animal.
