Resumen

The Regulation provides for the importation of cattle and buffaloes in the country: every animal shall be introduced in the country in presence of a valid import licence issued by the Authorities of Myanmar, and an extensive Veterinary certification stating their provenience from Foot and Mouth Disease - free countries or that they have been vaccinated against a list of diseases (see Section 3) after being in Quarantine for 21 days. Moreover, their areas of provenience must have been free from Anthrax, Rinderpest , Bovine Spongyform Encephalopathy and Contagious Bovine Pleuropneumonia, in the last 12 months prior to the export date.The animals must also be tested negative for Brucellosis, Bluetongue, Enzootic Bovine Leukosis and other diseases as per Section 3. Quarantine shall cover at least 10 days from the date of arrival and shall be released only after having satisfied all veterinary assessment and tests. Quarantine and Health certificates fees shall be paid (500 kyats per animal) respectively.
