Every animal shall be introduced in the country in presence of a valid import licence issued by the Authorities of Myanmar, and a Veterinary certification including their pedigree and certificating that they are free from any infective disease or parasitism at the time of exportation. Moreover their areas of provenience must have been disease-free in the last 12 months prior to the export (Section 3). The animals must also be tested negative for Brucellosis, Aujeszky’s Disease, Atrophic rhinitis, Leptospirosis and other diseases 30 days prior to the export date. Quarantine shall cover at least 30 days from the date of arrival and shall be released only after having satisfied all veterinary assessment and tests, whose fees shall be charged to the owners.
