Resumen: The present Regulation lays down particular amendments and addenda to Regulation (EC) No. 1659/98 in matter of decentralized cooperation with a view to focusing on poverty reduction and sustainable development. Article 3 is supplemented by including further decentralized cooperation agents in the list of those which shall be eligible for financial support from the Community. Municipal authorities, organizations of indigenous people, universities and consumer organizations are envisaged. The activities of the agents associated with the objectives of that Regulation shall be transparent and comply with the principles of sound financial management and accountability. In addition, the Community financing period is extended until 2006.
