Regional Law No. 90-OZ “On seed growing”.

This Regional Law shall be applicable to seed production and seed growing related to plant varieties inserted in the State Register of selection achievements, authorized for use on the regional territory. State management in the sphere of seed growing shall be carried out by the Governor, Regional Government or by the authorized state institution in the sphere of agriculture and forest management. Production of elite and hybrid seeds shall be carried out by natural and legal persons in possession of licence under supervision of plant variety originator or, by his consent, by the authorized body competent in the sphere of agriculture. Seed producers shall have the following duties: (a) comply with technical requirements related to seed production, storage and trade; (b) use for sowing seeds complying with state standards; (c) use for sowing certified seeds; and (d) carry out approbation and registration of seeding crops.
