Resumen This Regional Law delimits the powers of the regional state authorities in the field of biological safety. The powers of the Regional Legislative Assembly in the field of ensuring biological safety include: (a) adoption of regional laws and other regulatory legal acts in the field of ensuring biological safety, control over implementation thereof; and (b) exercising other powers in accordance with federal law and the regional legislation. The powers of the supreme executive body of the regional state power in the field of ensuring biological safety include: (a) coordination of the activities of the regional executive authorities in the field of ensuring biological safety; (b) determination of the regional executive authorities competent in the field of ensuring biological safety; (c) participation in the planning of anti-epidemic, anti-epizootic, anti-epiphytotic measures; and (d) other powers in the field of ensuring biological safety related to its competence in accordance with the law Russian Federation and the regional legislation. The powers of the authorized regional executive bodies in the field of ensuring biological safety include: (a) planning and implementation of anti-epidemic, anti-epizootic, anti-epiphytotic measures; (b) participation in the monitoring of biological risks and in the evaluating the effectiveness of the implementation of measures aimed at ensuring biological safety; (c) informing local governments and the population about arrangements and measures for ensuring biological safety being implemented on the regional territory; and (d) other powers in the field of ensuring biological safety in accordance with federal and regional legislation.
