Regional Law No. 256-OZ “On exceptional cases of timber extraction for public and municipal needs, and of fir trees (spruce) and other coniferous forest species for New Year festivities, in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species”.

This Regional Law establishes exceptional cases of timber extraction, including fir trees (spruce and other coniferous forest species) for New Year festivities in accordance with purchase and sale contract of forest species for public and municipal needs. Exceptional cases shall be considered: (a) timber extraction for the prevention of natural and technological disasters and natural damages to caused to forest species (land clearing off windfall timber and windbreakage); (b) timber extraction for construction purposes for repairs of public edifices, heating and construction; and (c) timber extraction in the process of intermediate felling, sanitary felling and forest fire prevention arrangements. It is related also to procurement of fir trees (spruces) and other coniferous forest species for New Year festivities organized by regional governmental and municipal institutions for organization of festivities and celebrations at educational, cultural, public health and forest institutions.
