This Regional Law enters into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.
Resumen

This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of ensuring epizootic, veterinary and sanitary well-being and is aimed at prevention and liquidation of hotbeds of infectious and mass non-infectious animal diseases, ensuring safety of animal feed, supply of animal medicines and protection of the population against diseases common to animals and human beings. State veterinary service shall be responsible for veterinary and sanitary assessment of the territory, sanitary status thereof and shall issue certificate. Use of poor quality foodstuffs unfit for human beings as animal feed shall be carried out in compliance with veterinary and sanitary requirements. Organizations trading animal products must pass veterinary and sanitary attestation and obtain veterinary and sanitary certification. Epizootic well-being means the absence of infectious and mass non-infectious animal disease on a determined territory while veterinary and sanitary well-being control by state veterinary service of produce and animals ensuring observance of veterinary safety requirements. Epizootic and veterinary and sanitary well-being shall be ensured by the following arrangements: (a) protection against infectious animal disease; (b) control over the observance of anti-epizootic (prophylactic) arrangements and hygiene and sanitary procedures set by state veterinary service regarding keeping, breeding, transport, slaughter and trade of animals; (c) state veterinary inspection; and (d) access to information regarding spreading of infectious animal disease and anti-epizootic (prophylactic) arrangements in course.
