Resumen Healthcare areas and resorts of regional significance on the regional territory are intended for treatment and rest of the population and are respectively classified as protected areas and territories that have their own characteristics in use and protection. This Regional Law establishes the powers of the regional state bodies related to rational use, development and protection of healthcare areas and resorts of regional significance. The territory is acknowledged as a healthcare area or a resort of regional significance by the Regional Government by agreement with the relevant federal executive authorities. Healthcare areas and resorts of the regional significance, as well as their land in accordance with Federal law are respectively acknowledged as protected areas. Their protection is carried out through the establishment of districts of sanitary (mountain and sanitary) protection with a special management regime established therein, including special residence regime and nature management, providing protection and preservation of healthcare areas and resorts of the regional significance with adjacent territories, from pollution and premature exhaustion. Boundaries and regime of districts of sanitary (mountain and sanitary) protection of healthcare areas and resorts of regional significance are established by the authorized body in the manner determined by the Regional Government.
