Resumen

This Regional Decree establishes that state zoological reserve “Akatovky” shall be constituted for unlimited time period without land expropriation from landowners. The main tasks of the reserve shall be as follows: (a) preservation, restoration and reproduction of valuable from economic, scientific and cultural point of view wild fauna species subject to hunting, rare and endangered species wild fauna species subject to hunting, preservation of their habitat, migratory routes, nesting sites; (b) performing biotechnical measures in order to create the most favorable living conditions for protected game; (c) systematic accounting and registration of wild fauna species subject to hunting; and (d) promotion and implementation of best practices for the protection and reproduction of wild fauna species subject to hunting. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of the reserve: (a) land development and plowing up; (b) keeping unleashed dogs, testing and training of dogs, use of dogs for grazing of cattle; (c) all types of hunting; (d) industrial procurement of mushrooms, berries and medicinal plants; (e) main use felling in protected forest areas and any type of felling within 200 m belt along river banks populated by beavers; (f) allotment of land plots for horticulture, gardening, smallholding and housing construction; (g) hydrotechnical amelioration, irrigation, geological exploration of subsoil and mining; (h) application of pesticides, plant protection chemicals, nutrients, growth stimulants, and open-air storage of fertilizers; (i) explosive works; (j) organization of rest areas, bivouacs, tourist stations, camps and other forms of collective recreation, pollution and littering of the reserve; (k) transit and parking of motor vehicles; and (l) any other type of economic activity, recreational activity and other categories of nature management that could have a negative impact on the territory of reserve.
