Resumen The present Act provides for the protection of humans and the environment against radiation. Every person owning, installing, supplying, operating or servicing a radiation facility, radiation equipment or radiation source shall take all reasonable precautions to protect persons from radiation injury. Section 20 establishes that there shall be a committee known as the “Radiation Health Advisory Committee” consisting of not more than 12 members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. This Committee shall: a) advise the Minister on matters concerning this Act or the regulations and radiation health generally; b) hear appeals in accordance with this Act, and, c) deal with any other matters concerning radiation health that the Minister may refer to it.
