In case the minimum parameters, determined by the law, are not observed, the competent authorities shall take the appropriate measures so that the risk of distributing contaminated water is decreased or eliminated. Also they will inform the consumers providing recommendations. The Law establishes monitoring programs for the quality of water on a national level as well as taking measures which will ensure the quality of treatment, equipment and materials that are used for the treatment and the distribution of water.
