País/Territorio Israel Tipo de documento Reglamento Fecha 2003 Fuente FAO, FAOLEX Materia Agua Palabra clave Contaminación de las aguas dulces Efluente de aguas residuales/vertido Alcantarillado Normas sobre calidad del agua Control de la contaminación Área geográphica Asia, Europa y Central Asia, Mediterráneo, Medio Oriente, Asia Occidental Resumen These Regulations, made under the Water Law, set pH values of industrial sewage in order to protect the environment and prevent the pollution of water sources from the corrosive impacts of industrial sewage. The Regulations prohibit an industrial plant from discharging sewage whose pH value is less than 6.0 or higher than 10.0 to the sewage system or whose pH is lower than 6.0 or higher than 9.0 to a reservoir, with some exceptions for specific cases. These include, among others, cases in which the pipe at the connection point of the plant to the sewage system or reservoir is made of materials resistant to a pH value between 5.0 and 6.0, cases where the mix of sewage discharged from the plant and flowing in the municipal sewage pipeline is not lower than 6.0 or not higher than 10.0 near the exit point from the plant, and cases where the quantity of sewage discharged to the municipal sewage system is less than 10 cubic meters per day.
