Presidential Decree No. 24/2018 Prohibition of fishing in a marine area south of the island of Thassos to protect young codfish (Merluccius merluccius).

The Decree is composed of 3 articles. Its purpose is to provide for measures to protect young codfish (Merluccius merluccius) in a marine area south of the island of Thassos (art. 1). Article 2 provides for prohibiting fishing with any type of fishing gear except in the case of purse seines. The close season is established from 1 to 31 May of each year in the maritime zone delimited by the area shown on the map in Annex to this Decree. Article 3 sets forth sanctions for trespassers.
