The Center is established as a nonprofit public corporation which shall operate in the form and manner prescribed by this Act. To achieve the purposes and subject to the other provisions of this Act, the Center shall possess and exercise the powers through its Board of Directors as specified in this Law. The Board shall appoint a Chief Executive Officer and a Science and Policy Advisory Committee. The Board shall, within six months of the appointment of Directors, devise a proposal for the development of marine parks within the Republic of Palau. The Center shall carry out education, training and research programs and provide information and technical support to Palau's traditional chiefs in their role of managing the reefs and implementing traditional conservation practices.(28 sections) Texto completo Inglés
