Legal (natural) person shall be authorized to manufacture veterinary drugs and preparations exclusively after the attestation of compliance with the normative documentation, technological process, and quality of produce and in the presence of licence. Only veterinary drugs and preparations that have passed registration and certification by the Chief Veterinary Department attached to the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and in possession of the registration certificate issued by the aforesaid body shall be authorized for manufacturing. The registration certificate shall be valid for the period of five years and shall be subject to renewal. The negative information on drugs that has not been backed by the outcome of testing shall not be taken into consideration in the process of registration or re-registration of the aforesaid drugs. The Regulation on the state quality control of veterinary drugs and fodder additives shall have as its purpose to ensure manufacturing of veterinary drugs complying with standards and technical conditions. The tasks of the state quality control of veterinary drugs shall be: 1) control over the compliance with standards and technical conditions in the process of approbation, manufacturing, transport and storage of veterinary drugs; 2) proposals as regards phasing out of veterinary drugs; 3) expertise of veterinary drugs; 4) certification of veterinary drugs.
