Order No. 50 of the Federal Fisheries Agency validating the Regulation of equipment of the fishing vessels with technical means.

This Order establishes requirements for installation on board of the fishing vessels of technical equipment for automatic transmission on information on the position of the fishing vessel. It shall be compulsory for the Russian fishing vessels carrying out industrial fisheries, including coastal fisheries, and research fisheries. This Order establishes compulsory procedures for: (a) registration of a fishing vessel equipped with technical means and appliances at the monitoring system of aquatic biological resources and control of the position of the fishing vessels; (b) provisional equipment of a fishing vessel with technical means and appliances; (c) renewal of the identification code of a fishing vessel; (d) testing of technical equipment on board after the installation thereof; and (e) the modalities of installation of technical equipment.
