Resumen

This Order approves the Regulation approving the catch certification scheme for fisheries products. This Regulation, consisting of 21 articles divided into four chapters and seven annexes, establishes a catch certification scheme under the scheme to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate Unreported and Unregulated Illegal Fishing (IUU), applicable to all fishing and related activities. It applies to activities carried out by fishing vessels flying the national flag and fisheries products that constitute a single consignment, processed or not, exported from Cape Verde or another third country, considering that all forms of illegal fishing constitute one of the most serious threats to sustainable exploitation resources and undermine national efforts to promote sustainable fisheries management and to conserve marine biodiversity.
