Resumen

These Sanitary and epidemiological requirements for laboratories managing potentially hazardous chemical substances and biological agents establish sanitary-epidemiological requirements for laboratories performing organoleptic, toxicological, sanitary-chemical, microbiological, bacteriological, virological, parasitological, molecular biological (polymerase chain reaction), immunobiological (enzyme immunoassay and other serological research) laboratory studies, measurements of noise, vibration, electromagnetic fields and physical factors, radiation studies, including radiometry and dosimetry, the failure to comply with which creates a threat to human life or health, as well as the occurrence and spread of diseases. Sanitary requirements also establish sanitary and epidemiological requirements for: (a) selection of a land plot for construction of the edifices (facilities), design, construction, reconstruction of the laboratory and commissioning thereof; (b) content, operation and working conditions in laboratories; (c) ensuring radiation, chemical, microbiological, virological, toxicological, parasitological safety (including in case of emergency response); (d) storage and transportation of materials (microorganisms); and (e) water supply, sewerage, lighting and ventilation. Projecting and construction of laboratories shall be prohibited in the following cases: (a) on land plots previously used for burial grounds for cattle and toxic substances; and (b) location on land plot of permanent risks of anthrax. Laboratory must be connected to centralized systems of hot and cold water supply, sewage, electricity, heating. Microbiological laboratories must be divided into “infectious” and “clean” zones.
