Resumen This Regulation establishes the procedure for veterinary medicine specialists to take preventive measures in order to prevent the spreading of reovirus infection in poultry, veterinary and sanitary measures in case of an outbreak of reovirus infection in poultry in poultry holdings of different forms of ownership, in-house use or trade of eggs, meat and meat products, obtained from slaughter of poultry, and other poultry products in case of reovirus infection in poultry detection and shall be mandatory for all natural and legal persons who own domestic or other birds kept in captivity, whose activities are related to the keeping and circulation of poultry, veterinary specialists who carry out activities in the field of poultry farming. During the pathologic-anatomical opening of corpses of uncomplicated forms of the disease, there is catarrhal enteritis, kidney enlargement, atrophy of factory bursa, necrotic focuses in the liver, spleen, cardiac muscle flabby, pancreatic hyperemia. In chickens, one can observe postural stomatitis, thinning of the muscular stomach, edema of the pelvic limb joints. When establishing a diagnosis, one should take into account the possibility of a mixed course of this disease with some other infections. This Order is composed of V Sections. Section I lays down general provisions. Section II regards diagnostics of reovirus infection in poultry. Section III deals with prophylaxis of reovirus infection in poultry. Section IV lists arrangements in case of detection of reovirus infection in poultry. Section V establishes safety rules for staff of poultry farms with the presence of reovirus infection in poultry.
